MedicPulse is committed to protecting the privacy of both healthcare professionals and their patients. Please note that the English version of this policy is the legally binding version.

MedicPulse collects information in the following ways: A) Information Provided by the User: This includes personal data required to create a professional account (e.g., name, email address, password). B) Information Stored by the User on the Platform (Patient Data): As a logged-in professional, the user may store patient information, including name, date of birth, a user-defined identifier, and calculation results. The user is the 'Data Controller' for this data. C) Usage Data: Usage information, such as IP address, browser type, and interactions with the tools, is automatically collected.
3. How Information Is Used
The collected information is used for the following purposes: A) To Provide and Maintain the Service: To manage user accounts and enable the storage of and access to patient records. B) For Research and Statistical Analysis: The date of birth and calculation results are used in a strictly anonymous and aggregated manner to generate statistics and improve the services. Personally identifiable patient data (such as names or IDs) will never be used for this analysis. C) To Ensure Security and Operational Integrity: To protect and maintain the security of the platform.
4. Legal Basis for Processing Data
The legal basis for data processing under regulations like GDPR and LGPD includes: A) Performance of a Contract: To provide the services for which a user has registered. B) Legitimate Interest: To improve the services through anonymized analysis and ensure security. C) User's Responsibility for Consent: As the healthcare professional, the user is the 'Data Controller' of the patient data stored. The user confirms having a legal basis, such as obtaining explicit patient consent, to collect, store, and process patient information on the platform.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
MedicPulse does not sell, rent, or trade personal information or patient data. Information may be shared only in limited circumstances, such as with trusted service providers (e.g., hosting services) who are contractually obligated to keep the information confidential, or if required by law.
6. Data Security
Reasonable technical and organizational security measures, such as encryption (HTTPS) and access controls, are implemented to protect the data held by MedicPulse from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. User Data Rights
Depending on location, a user may have rights such as the right to access, update, or delete their account information. As the controller of patient data, the user is responsible for fulfilling data rights requests from their patients. The user can manage and delete the patient records stored through their account dashboard.
8. International Data Transfers
User information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of the user's state, province, or country. MedicPulse's servers are located in Brazil. By using the Service, the user consents to this transfer.
9. Data Retention
User account information is retained for as long as the account is active. Patient data stored by the user is retained until the user decides to delete it or close the account. Anonymized statistical data may be kept indefinitely.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Users will be notified of any changes by the posting of the new policy on this page and the updating of the 'Last Updated' date.
