2. Description of Service
MedicPulse provides a support platform for healthcare professionals and students, offering tools such as medical calculators and the ICD-10 classification. Logged-in users may have the ability to save calculation results linked to patient identifiers for their own professional records.
3. Professional Responsibility and Data Management
The tools on MedicPulse are intended to supplement, not replace, professional clinical judgment. As a healthcare professional, you are solely responsible for all clinical decisions and for the lawful management of any patient data you choose to store on the platform. This includes obtaining the necessary patient consent and acting as the 'Data Controller' for that information.
4. Content Accuracy, AI, and Translations
We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information. Some content may be generated or translated with the assistance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and may contain inaccuracies or variations. We recommend that users consult reliable primary sources before applying any information in clinical or decision-making contexts. Our commitment is to offer quality support, but the ultimate responsibility for the use of the information rests with the user.
5. Privacy and Data Processing
Our Service allows logged-in healthcare professionals to store patient information—including name, date of birth, a user-defined identifier, and calculation results—for their own record-keeping purposes. You, the professional, are responsible for ensuring you have the legal basis (e.g., patient consent) to store this data. For our internal analytics, we only use the date of birth and calculation results in a completely anonymous and aggregated form for statistical purposes. 6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and materials on MedicPulse are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are not permitted to copy, modify, or distribute our content without our prior written consent.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED 'AS IS' AND 'AS AVAILABLE' WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MEDICPULSE BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF OUR SERVICE. Decisions based on information from the platform, as well as the protection and handling of patient data you enter into the system, are your sole responsibility in accordance with the legal and ethical standards of your profession.
8. Governing Language
The official and legally binding version of these Terms is the English language version. Translations are provided for convenience only. In case of any conflict, the English version shall prevail.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Maceió, Alagoas, Brazil, to resolve any legal matter arising from these Terms.
10. Modifications to the Terms
These Terms of Service may be updated periodically to reflect improvements to our Services. When substantial changes occur, you will be notified with a minimum of 30 days' advance notice. Your continued use of the platform after this period will be considered your acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree with the modifications, you must discontinue your use of the Service before they take effect.
