About this Calculator 💡
The Framingham Risk Score is a widely used assessment tool in medicine to estimate an individual's risk of developing cardiovascular disease (such as myocardial infarction or stroke) within a 10-year period. Based on long-term data from the Framingham Heart Study, this score calculates the risk probability using a combination of key risk factors, which include age, sex, total and HDL cholesterol levels, systolic blood pressure (and whether it is treated), smoking status, and the presence of diabetes mellitus.
Reference Values
- • < 10%: Low risk
- • 10-20%: Intermediate risk
- • > 20%: High risk
